Florida Man Arrested With ‘Fake Urine In Sock’ Just 24 Hours After Being Released From Jail

A Florida man was arrested after just 24 hours after being released from jail after a Domestic Violence arrest.

On Wednesday evening, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested 22-year-old Neild Joseph of Palm Coast after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and a probation violation.

Deputies on patrol in Palm Coast near Cypress Point Parkway observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign with an expired vehicle tag. Upon being stopped Joseph attempted to immediately exit the vehicle as deputies approached and smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Deputies say Joseph appeared nervous and deputies observed loose marijuana on his lap and a can containing visible marijuana in the cupholder.

Joseph was secured and during a search, advised deputies that he had stuffed marijuana in his underwear because he “was scared and gets really nervous” so he hid it hoping deputies wouldn’t find it.

Upon a search of the vehicle, deputies found what appeared to be fake urine in a black sock in the glove box, a Mountain Dew “hide-a-can” with marijuana in the center cup holder, loose marijuana on the seat, floorboard, and ground outside the car door.

There was also a backpack containing burnt plastic straws, a grinder, and a fanny pack with a grinder in it. A total of 16.1 grams of marijuana was recovered on Joseph and from the vehicle. It was discovered that Joseph was on probation for Possession of Methamphetamine from North Dakota in 2021.

Joseph has a criminal history in Flagler County dating back to 2018 for Child Abuse and Domestic Battery. He’s previously been charged in North Dakota for Violation of Domestic Violence Protection Order, Felony Terrorizing, Fleeing Law Enforcement on Foot, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.

“This case is a prime example of dirtbags taking advantage of a weak criminal justice system resulting in a revolving door at the jail,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This guy was arrested on March 18th for domestic battery and violation of probation and then quickly released by the system. Within 24 hours of being released from jail, he was arrested for drug charges and another violation of his probation. He clearly hasn’t learned his lesson. Hopefully this time he will face strong consequences for continuously breaking the law in Florida and North Dakota.”

Joseph was transported to the Green Roof Inn without incident. He was arrested for Violation of Probation and is additionally facing charges for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana Under 20g, and Tampering with Evidence and being held on no bond.
