A Florida man whom deputies were searching for since Tuesday was captured on Thursday hiding in a swamp.
“Our outstanding Deputies caught Mr. Cory Phillipe, who escaped into the swamp after beating his father with a metal object, said Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. “Sheriff Marcos R. Lopez commends a job well done by our deputies, who worked tirelessly to apprehend this individual”
Cory Philippe, 32, is accused of beating his father with a metal object and has been booked into the Osceola County Jail.
He is facing a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 years old or older.
Currently, Philippe is on a no-bond status.
