The Florida Lottery announced that Hugh Hackney, of Fort Myers, claimed a second-tier prize playing the MEGA MILLIONS® Draw game.
His winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball number.
Hackney purchased his $1 million-winning MEGA MILLIONS Quick Pick ticket for January 24, 2023, drawing at Publix, located at 2160 McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers.

The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket.
Since joining $5 MEGA MILLIONS in 2013, the game has generated more than $1 billion for education and has awarded more than $1 billion in prizes.
The next MEGA MILLIONS drawing will be held Friday, June 29, at 11:00 p.m. ET, with an estimated $368 million jackpot.
