A Florida MISSING CHILD Alert activated earlier today for 14-year-old Leland “Mikey” Scales has been canceled. Authorities have confirmed that Mikey has been located and is safe.
The alert was issued after Scales went missing from the area of the 6900 block of West Beaver Street in Jacksonville. He was last seen wearing a black Spiderman t-shirt and black basketball shorts, and was believed to be carrying an orange and black backpack and possibly traveling on a black bicycle.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office had urged the public to contact them with any information regarding his whereabouts, particularly in the vicinity of 103rd Street and Jammes Road.
ORIGINAL REPORT: A Florida MISSING CHILD Alert has been issued for 14-year-old Leland “Mikey” Scales, who has been missing from the Jacksonville area since earlier today. Authorities are urging the public to be vigilant and report any information regarding his whereabouts.
Leland, described as a white male, stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
When last seen, Mikey was wearing a black Spider-Man t-shirt and black basketball shorts. He may be carrying an orange and black backpack and could be traveling on a black bicycle.

Mikey was last seen in the area of the 6900 block of West Beaver Street in Jacksonville. Investigators believe he may be in the vicinity of 103rd Street and Jammes Road, also in Jacksonville.
