Florida Highway Patrol Troopers continue to investigate the death of Stephanie Contreras, a 29-year-old woman from Dover, originally from Plant City.
Troopers say she was found along the shoulder of I-275 near Dale Mabry Highway just after 7:00 AM on Christmas morning.
Contreras left behind four children, including an eight-year-old daughter, two-year-old twin daughters, and a one-year-old son.

On Sunday, December 25, 2022, just after 7:00 AM, an FDOT Road Ranger saw an adult white female laying on the northbound outside shoulder of Interstate 275, south of Dale Mabry Highway.
The woman, later identified as Contreras, was unresponsive and had suffered a significant head injury, as well as road rash throughout her body.
She was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and she later died at the hospital.
