Democrats want the public to believe that the GOP-led House impeachment effort of President Joe Biden is over ever since the Justice Department, which has a history of going after Biden’s political opponents, busted a key whistleblower against the Bidens for lying to investigators.
But Rep. Byron Donalds said on Thursday that the inquiry will continue, partly because Hunter Biden may have lied to lawmakers during his closed-door deposition earlier this week.
During an interview with Newsmax, the Naples Republican maintained that Biden was not “factual” during his long-awaited testimony.

He also said House Republicans want still more financial records to see if they can “corroborate” Biden’s testimony with that of other witnesses who have spelled out the corrupt practices of Hunter and Joe Biden.
Donalds said the “rainfall effect” of money from overseas interests being funneled to Hunter and then on to other family members is evident.
“At the end of this all, the entire design of this entire business structure was to make it confusing, it was to conceal money, and in Hunter Biden’s position, it was to evade taxes,” said Donalds.
“It’s not that China made a ‘bad investment’ in Hunter Biden. The entire purpose of investing in him and his business associates was to get to the ‘big guy,’” Donalds added.

As the investigation has revealed, Hunter’s references to holding aside money for “the big guy” were about his father.
“During his testimony, he had total recall of a conversation with the Polish president about why he should be on the board of Burisma. He read it chapter and verse to us,” Donalds told Newsmax host Greta Van Susteren.
“But in the same deposition, he couldn’t remember if he responded to an email from [Biden business associate] James Gilliar, where it was stipulated that Joe Biden was ‘the big guy.’ He couldn’t stipulate who was ‘the big guy.’ He couldn’t even remember reading the email.”
“He couldn’t remember whether he sent that text message, the famous one we all now know, about how he’s sitting with his father and then two weeks later you got the $3 million that comes in from CEFC [a Chinese energy company],” he added.

“In the deposition, he says, ‘Oh, I can’t recall. I don’t think I ever sent that message. But, if I did, it was to another Zhao, not to Chairman [Raymond] Zhao,’” Donalds said. “This kind of dissembling demonstrates that he is not being factual. And when you compare that to the other testimonies we have received, we’re going to continue with our investigation.”
Donalds said the critical point to remember is not whether President Joe Biden raked in the cash from China and other overseas interests after his term as vice president ended in 2017 — although his actions “out the door” are relevant.
Rather, the key issue is whether his decision-making now is “in part because of the business dealings of his son and his brother, and money that has gone to Joe Biden along the way,” said Donalds.
