Florida Republicans Early Voting Numbers Surge, Bypass Democrats

by: Tim Bryce

Florida Republican voters continue to surge while Democrats wane.  For the first time in this election, and as expected, the percentage of registered Republican voters (66.05%) eclipsed Democrats (65.54%).
As of today, Tampa Bay flipped over to the Republicans, also expected.

Republicans picked up another 21K votes from the Democrats in the state.

Sunday is the last day for Early Voting and Republicans in Pinellas County have their work cut out for them. More Democrats voted by Vote-by-Mail (absentee) than any other county in the Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough. Unless they can make a strong surge today, they will have to rely on Independent voters to win, just as in 2016.

And Yes, Independents are also surging.
