Florida Senator’s Son Violates Ex-Lover’s Restraining Order

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – On August 12, 2020, Ngiri Jackson filed a restraining order against Daniel Rouson, son of Florida U.S. Democrat Senator, Darryl Rouson. Ngiri Jackson and Daniel Rouson are the parents of two minor children and have squabbled for some time. Ms. Jackson’s request for a restraining order describes a man “obsessed” with her:

“On August 8, 2020, Daniel entered my home around 3 a.m. after coming from a club from hanging out. I was sleeping but when I heard the door open, I got up really fast to notice Daniel was in my home. I forced him out after begging him to leave. Daniel called my phone all night. I woke up to notice that my car was keyed. I moved it closer to my apartment and around 9 a.m. my boyfriend came over and my car was completely fine, but Daniel called a little bit after him arriving to my home, only for me to watch Daniel slash both left tires and then key my car some more. I called the police out and they took pics and video.

On August 11, 2020, I came home around 7:40 p.m. to notice that my TV was cut and my camera was moved. I then called the police and then watched my cameras to see that my children’s father entered my home. I am in fear for my life, Judge. Daniel is obsessed with me and is going through a lot of measures to harm me and destroy things that belong to me. I am in fear for my children’s life as well because I don’t know if he will try to hurt them to try to hurt me. I have gave Daniel plenty of chances to correct his actions but he continues to harass me. Daniel has come to my home with a gun, threatened to shoot. Also, Daniel has entered my home before, is why I installed cameras. I have talked to Daniel’s parents about his stalking issues and no one did anything about it.”

Ms. Jackson also alleged in the restraining order that Daniel Rouson has multiple stolen firearms. She simultaneously filed a “Petition to Determine Paternity, Parenting Plan, Child Support and Other Relief,” where it is suggested that shared custody is best for the children, and the mother be responsible for child education and medical decisions and have majority time-sharing. It further requests child support to Ms. Jackson from Mr. Rouson.

An Emergency Motion was also filed with the child custody petition, seeking an expedited hearing for the return of the minor children, as Daniel Rouson is wrongfully detaining the children.
