A 41-year-old Florida woman was arrested Wednesday for doing nearly $200,000 in unlicensed contract work in the Upper Keys.
According to investigators, Kelly Fox was charged with contracting in the state of Florida without a certificate by posing as a contractor in Monroe County.
The Sheriff’s Office was notified on Jan. 10, 2023.

According to the victim, he made multiple payments to Fox for a total of $199,400 for work on a property that was subpar. An investigation showed Kelly was unlicensed, according to MCSO.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges may be pending.
Fox was booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $1,500 bond.
