A Florida woman was arrested and charged with double voting in the 2020 federal election.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Cheryl Ann Leslie, 55, of Loxahatchee, voted in the 2020 federal and state primary elections in Florida and Alaska.

Lesile told investigators she traveled from state to state for her job as a physician’s assistant.

But that is not the only election.

The investigation revealed a pattern of double voting as Leslie also voted in both states in 2014, 2016, and 2018.

In Alaska, Leslie submitted her votes by absentee ballot, and in Florida, she voted early and in person in Palm Beach County.

She is charged with two counts of double voting, and each count is a third-degree felony, according to FDLE.

Information on Leslie’s multi-state voting originated from the Secretary of State’s Office of Election Crimes and Security and was forwarded to FDLE’s Election Crime Unit for further investigation.

Leslie was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
