A Florida woman was arrested on drug charges last the weekend and had a surprise, other than dope, in her backpack.

According to an arrest affidavit, Lindsay Rodewald, 43, was pulled over on her bike in Clearwater Saturday for riding with no lights.

She permitted officers to search her person, including her backpack.

Officers located a meth pipe with residue on it, and the woman explained that she smoked meth a ‘couple of days ago.’

But that’s where the search turned a bit unusual and cute.

“You never know what you’re going to find as a police officer. This cute little critter was found in the backpack of a woman arrested on drug charges. Possibly just a week old, it was taken to Veterinary Emergency Group in Tampa to be checked out,” said Clearwater Police Department.

Raccoons are common throughout the state and occur everywhere there are trees offering the cavities they often use. They are also found in urban areas, where they can adapt to living around humans.

Raccoons are nocturnal animals, so they are most active at night. They are omnivorous and eat a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, insects, small animals, and even garbage.

Raccoons are intelligent animals and are known for their ability to open containers and solve problems. They can also be pests, as they can damage property and spread diseases.

If you have a raccoon problem, it is important to contact a professional wildlife removal company to humanely remove the critters.
