A 45-year-old Florida woman was arrested Thursday for selling a fake diamond ring for $5,000.
Kelly O’Loughlin, 45, was charged with fraud, uttering a forged instrument, and grand theft, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
O’Loughlin pawned a fake diamond ring and forged certification papers that stated it was real at Cash Flow Jewelry in Marathon on Dec. 13, 2023. She also provided a fake phone number and address.
Further investigation showed that O’Loughlin committed similar crimes in other states.
An arrest warrant was obtained for her arrest. More charges may be pending.
