Florida Woman Who Bit And Choked Uber Driver Gets 18-Months Probation

The Florida woman who was caught on camera attacking Uber Driver Michael Hassey, 23, pleaded guilty earlier this week in court.

Michele Stilwell, 55, pleaded guilty to battery and disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 18 months probation, an $850 fine, a mental health evaluation, and must have no contact with the victim.

In April, Stilwell launched an unprovoked attack on Hassey while he was driving near her home in St. Pete.

According to deputies, Stilwell “reached forward and proceeded to choke the victim from behind,” then eventually biting Hassey on the neck.

Deputies say that Hassey was attempting to call 911 during the attack, but was unable to as Hassey continued, “to bite, scratch, and strangle him by the throat.”

  1. This woman is psychotic and needs to be put behind bars where she will not be a threat to the public. I hope he retained a lawyer for a civil suit for physical and emotional damages. At the very least the spectators should have separated the two instead of filming the beating. (Actual account, as told by victim and backed by video, stated he escaped on his own with the keys, while spectators just filmed.
