A former deputy trainee, who failed the training program, has been booked on a felony homicide charge after killing a man in a domestic violence incident.

According to deputies, Chloe Davidson, 32, is charged with first-degree felony homicide and a second-degree felony weapons offense.

On Sunday, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Pace, Florida, in reference to a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. Paramedics attempted to save the man, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.

32-year-old Davidon was arrested on the scene, according to investigators.

Investigators tell local WEAR 3 that the shooting was the result of a domestic disturbance, but the relationship between Davidson and the male victim was not released.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Davidson was training to become a deputy, but failed the field training program and has not been employed by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office for at least the past 30 days.
