GOP Rep. Jordan Say Biden Admin Was “Guessing, Lying, Or Hoping” About The Effectiveness Of COVID Vax

Almost lost last week amid the crescendo of liberal cacophony surrounding both a critical Supreme Court ruling on guns and the first substantial congressional action on firearms in three decades was an admission about the limited effectiveness of the COVID-19 jab.

It came during an exchange between GOP Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Dr. Deborah Birx during a meeting of the House Oversight and Reform Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.

In short, Birx could not refute Jordan’s assertion that the Biden administration was “lying, guessing, or hoping” that vaxxed people would not get infected with COVID, even as President Joe Biden wanted to make shots mandatory for all Americans by reassuring people of their effectiveness.

Jordan opened his questioning by recalling some of Biden’s comments during a CNN town hall event in July.

Discussing the vaccines, Biden said of the Delta variant at the time, “the various shots that people are getting now cover that. You’re OK. You’re not going to — you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”

A few minutes prior to that, he had said, “This is a simple, basic proposition. If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in an ICU unit, and you are not going to die. … If you’re vaccinated, even if you do ‘catch the virus,’ quote, unquote, like people talk about it in normal terms, you’re — not many people do. If you do, you’re not likely to get sick. You’re probably going to be symptomless. You’re not going to be in a position where your life is in danger.”

Asked for a response to Biden’s comments, and whether the Biden administration was “guessing” or “lying” about infections among the vaxxed, Birx, who became a public figure for her work advising former President Donald Trump about the virus, said she didn’t know.

What she did know, she said, was that, as evidenced by outcomes in South Africa, was that government scientists knew reinfection was possible.

“All I know is there was evidence from the global pandemic that natural reinfection was occurring,” she told Jordan. “Since the vaccine was based on natural immunity, you cannot make the conclusion that the vaccine will do better than natural infection. Although it can often do slightly better.”

In other words, according to Birx, the Biden administration was pushing for a massive expansion of vaccines when officials had no idea if it performed better than natural immunity.

“You can’t rule out the fact that our government was lying to us when they told us the vaccinated could not get the virus,” Jordan replied.

Birx said she was not privy to such discussions, so couldn’t say for sure. But, she added, her own family’s personal experience led her to mask up after being vaxxed “because I knew potentially the vaccine immunity would wane like natural immunity waned. And there was evidence that every four months, reinfection was occurring in South Africa.”

When Jordan asked if it was a lie or a guess when the Biden administration said the vaxxed could not transmit the virus, Birx answered: “Hope.”

“I think it was hope that the vaccine would work in that way,” she replied.

“What we do know is it wasn’t the truth,” Jordan responded. “So they were either guessing, lying, or hoping and communicating that information to the citizens of this country.”

He noted the irony of Biden wanting the failed Disinformation Governance Board.

“They are the biggest purveyors of misinformation, false information, hopeful information, but not accurate and true information,” said Jordan.

“Our government was guessing, hoping or lying, but we do know they weren’t telling us the truth.”

That matters because Biden began shaming and threatening the unvaxxed to get the jab – by talking about the “pandemic of the unvaccinated” – even though his government had no idea if anyone would be worse off if they fought off the virus naturally.
