Hernando County Local State of Emergency Set to Expire

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – At the March 9, 2021, Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting, the Board voted to discontinue the Local State of Emergency (LSE) declaration for Hernando County. At 11:59 p.m. on March 9, 2021, the LSE for Hernando County will expire.

Although the LSE will expire in Hernando County on this date and time, the Office of Emergency Management in Hernando County will continue to monitor and provide updates as needed.

Residents should monitor trusted sources of information such as the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) website at www.FloridaHealth.gov/COVID-19 and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.CDC.gov to learn the facts and to follow recommendations to prevent the spread of disease.
