Hernando County Silver Alert Canceled 82-Year-Old Missing Man Found Safe

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – This alert has been canceled. Mr. Guzman was found safe.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating a MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT.

Justo Beltre Guzman reportedly left his residence on Deering Avenue in Spring Hill around 6:30 a.m. on this date. 

He told his wife that he was going to an insurance company on US-19 (Commercial Way) in Spring Hill to pay a bill.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., a family member received information that Mr. Guzman was at a Speedway store in Holiday, FL attempting to get gas in his vehicle and that he was very confused. 

Deputies say, Mr. Guzman told a person at the Speedway that he was trying to get back to Spring Hill; however, when he left, he drove southbound on US-19 toward Tarpon Springs.

Justo Beltre Guzman is driving a 2011 grey Toyota RAV 4, bearing Florida tag/Z4SSW.

Investigators say Mr. Guzman suffered a stroke within the last two weeks and is showing signs of dementia and that he walks with a cane and speaks very little English.

Justo Beltre Guzman’s physical description is as follows:

  • Black/Hispanic Male
  • Date of Birth – 05-17-1939
  • Height – 5’06”
  • Weight – 160 lbs.
  • Hair – White
  • Eyes – Brown
