Highlands County Sheriff: Shooting In Lake Placid Possibly Connected To Car Burglaries

LAKE PLACID, Fla. – Highlands County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a shooting that happened around 4:25 a.m. on Golf Villas Court NW in the Placid Lakes area of Lake Placid.

“There are indications of car burglaries in the area last night, and detectives are trying to determine if the burglaries and shooting are related,” said HCSO.
