HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a residential structure fire in Town N’ Country (Tampa).
Units were dispatched at 4:45 PM on April 23rd to a house fire on Wilshire Drive. Responding units saw a column of smoke from a distance and called a working fire.

“Our first engine arrived to smoke pouring from the house’s eaves and heavy fire from the residence’s rear,” said HCFR.
Firefighters advanced handlines into the structure, controlling the blaze in under 10 minutes. Crews conducted searches of the residence, and no occupants were found.
No first responders or civilians were injured. The American Red Cross has been called to assist the displaced family of four.
The fire investigator is on the scene investigating the cause.
