HILLSBOROUGH, COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a fire involving multiple fifth-wheel type RVs at the Blue Compass RV Sales in Dover early Wednesday morning.
“Our Emergency Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls from passers-by on Interstate 4, one of them a state Fire Marshal, at 3:33 A.M. reporting heavy fire at the location listed,” said HCFR.
Crews arrived on the scene to find four fifth-wheel-style RVs on fire, three of which were fully involved.

Crews deployed handlines to battle the blazes, controlling it within 30 minutes of their arrival. There were no occupants inside the RVs at the time of the fire.
There have been no injuries to civilians or first responders. The Fire Investigations Unit is on the scene, working to determine the cause.
