HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – Update: Mr. Sala has been located safe.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was requesting the public’s assistance to locate Jose Manuel Sala, 77, who was last seen leaving a Tampa jewelry store this morning.
On April 23, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Sala left his residence in a 2004 white Mazda minivan bearing Florida tag 1402YH and never returned home.
He was last seen at Cortes Jewelers located at 14911 Florida Avenue in Tampa at 1:35 p.m. and later left in an unknown direction.
Sala was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black shorts, and blue sneakers. Sala is diagnosed with dementia.
