HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services announced today that it will conduct aerial applications of Dibrom to control adult mosquito populations on Friday, June 13, 2025, between 8 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.
The targeted areas for this aerial treatment include:
South Tampa: Bounded by West Swann Avenue to the North, MacDill Air Force Base to the South, Bayshore Boulevard to the East, and A.J. Palonis Park to the West.
Gibsonton: Encompassing the area from Symmes Road in the North to Big Bend Road in the South, and from Interstate 75 in the East to Williams Street in the West.
Apollo Beach: From Signet Drive in the North to College Avenue in the South, and from Tamiami Trail in the East to the Little Manatee River State Trail in the West.

A twin-engine airplane will perform the mission at an altitude of 300 feet, applying Dibrom at a rate of 0.66 ounces per acre.
Residents are advised that the first alternate spray date is Saturday, June 14, 2025, with a second alternate date of Sunday, June 15, 2025, in case of unfavorable weather conditions on Friday.
