InnovaCare Health Launches InnovaCare Partners, Focused on Strengthening Market-Leading MSO Services

LAKELAND, Fla. – InnovaCare Health, a leading provider of integrated healthcare solutions, announced today the company has spun off its management services organization (MSO) portfolio to create a new, wholly-owned subsidiary, called InnovaCare Partners.

At launch, InnovaCare Partners will instantly become one of the largest MSO companies in the country, overseeing services for approximately 8,000 providers delivering care to more than 600,000 patients. The company will operate a growth-minded network of physician practices, applying its proven model for quality and value along with the operations expertise, technological tools, and actionable analytics needed to empower its physician network to succeed in today’s value-based industry.

The Central Florida division of InnovaCare Partners will oversee the operations and management of Orlando Family Physicians and Trinity Medical Group. Longtime InnovaCare Health subsidiary MSO of Puerto Rico will continue offering market-leading support and technology to providers on the island of Puerto Rico. InnovaCare Partners will leverage its successes in Puerto Rico and Florida to implement the latest best practices across its expanding network.

Because InnovaCare Partners is committed to building culture and delivering care tailored to each distinct patient population it serves, the company will maintain local offices in each market it serves. Today, those offices operate out of San Juan, P.R., and Altamonte Springs, Fla.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the whole InnovaCare family of companies,” said Richard Shinto, M.D., President and CEO of InnovaCare Health. “For more than 20 years, we’ve focused on offering innovative healthcare solutions to patients and providers. In that time, InnovaCare has become an industry leader in creating value-based care models that help providers focus on one thing: delivering the highest quality care possible. The launch of InnovaCare Partners formalizes our successful approach and builds on our strong reputation in this region.”

Rodman St. Clair, M.D., has been named president of MSO services for InnovaCare Partners. St. Clair has served in various clinical leadership positions with InnovaCare Health since 2007, including chief medical officer. In that role, St. Clair was responsible for cost and quality of care, compliance, and medical director management and accountability. More recently, he has provided leadership and strategic oversight in growing the company’s MSO portfolio, ensuring partners have the training, technology, education and other resources needed to succeed.

“As a physician and a long-term member of InnovaCare’s leadership team, I know the type of commitment this company has to empowering doctors to practice at the top of their license and form meaningful relationships with their patients and their communities,” said St. Clair. “Our physician-led organization understands what it takes to help physicians thrive in today’s complex, ever-evolving landscape. The launch of InnovaCare Partners positions us for accelerated growth throughout Florida and beyond, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue growing our network as a true partner for leading medical practices.”

InnovaCare Partners has expanded and refined its proprietary technology platform, InnovaMD, which allows physicians to seamlessly access important clinical information such as patient dashboards, lab results, medication adherence information and quality reports. This experience, Shinto said, will be essential to bringing physicians in the InnovaCare Partners network the latest best practices, analytics and insights to grow their business.

Founded in 1998, InnovaCare Health has grown and evolved into a leading healthcare company with a national reputation for care excellence. Today, the company manages more than 600,000 lives and operates one of the nation’s largest Medicare Advantage plans, MMM Healthcare in Puerto Rico, with a growing health plan presence in South Florida through MMM of Florida. In 2019, InnovaCare Health joined Summit Partners, a leading global investment firm, to build on the industry-leading services and benefits offered through its family of companies.
