Joe Rogan Says Florida Gov. DeSantis Would Make A “Good President,” Calls His Work “Admirable”

Comedian and actor Joe Rogan, whose Spotify podcast commands more than 11 million listeners, touted DeSantis as his pick for 2024 during a broadcast on Tuesday. Rogan was interviewing actress Gina Carano, who was fired by Disney and subsequently hired by the conservative Daily Wire, for whom she now makes movies.

First, the world’s richest man endorsed Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis as the best choice to be president in 2024.

Now, it’s the world’s most popular podcaster.

When Carano and Rogan discussed some current affairs, Rogan, responded, “So all this stuff is happening while we have a dead man as a president,” referring to President Joe Biden.

Carano then asked if Rogan was “throwing out any support towards anyone.” She then noted that Elon Musk recently said DeSantis was the best option in 2024.

“I think Ron DeSantis would work as a good president,” Rogan answered. “I mean, what he’s done for Florida has been admirable.”

“I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct,” Rogan continued. “He was correct when it comes to, like, deaths — he was correct. And when it comes to protecting all vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”

Rogan added that DeSantis “was furious when the government tried to pull those, they were trying to pull very effective treatments.”

“You know, he is not perfect. He’s a human being, but, um, what he’s done is stand up for freedoms,” said Rogan.

“People think that, that this was some weird gas-lighting s–t that went on where people equated freedom and saying the word freedom to like right wing bigotry and hate is so strange,” Rogan noted.

DeSantis has rejected the idea of running for president, even as polls show him to be an increasingly popular choice among Republicans, saying he is more focused on being re-elected governor.

Recently after Musk predicted a “massive red wave” this November and then endorsed DeSantis in 2024, DeSantis quipped, “I welcome support from African-Americans. What can I say?”

Musk is a native of South Africa.
