POLK COUNTY, Fla. – An 83-year-old Lake Alfred woman has died following a crash that happened around 6:20 pm on Friday, according to troopers.
Florida Highway Patrol says the Lake Alfred woman, in a Lexus sedan, was traveling northbound on 21st ST NW.
At the intersection, the Lexus turned left into the path and was struck by a Honda sedan, driven by a 25-year-old Winter Haven man.

Troopers say the woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
According to investigators, the Winter Haven man suffered serious injuries in the crash.
