LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – Students at Land O’ Lakes High School were dismissed Tuesday after several envelopes were sent to the school with a white substance inside.
Students were held in their first-period class on Tuesday morning.
“This morning, we were notified of several envelopes that were sent to the school with a white substance inside. Emergency services responded to the scene and tested the substance. It was determined to be non-hazardous in nature,” said Pasco County School (PCS).
According to PCS, due to the ongoing investigation, the district made the decision to send students home and cancel school today.
No students were injured, and all precautions have been taken to keep them safe, says Pasco School District.
