PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old Land O’ Lakes man was killed crossing Wesley Chapel Boulevard around 2:28 am on Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on Wesley Chapel Boulevard approaching Hyde Park Blvd.
Troopers ay the Land O’ Lakes man was walking in the northbound lane and was struck by the Sierra. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of
the crash.
The driver of the GMC, Erick Enrique Zheng-Sam, 27, Martinez, Georgia, was later arrested by FHP Troopers for DUI and booked into the Pasco County Jail.
