Largo Police Say 2 People Shot At Stout’s Auto Service After Calls Of Active Shooter

LARGO, Fla - Largo Police responded to an active shooting call at 1801 S Belcher Road on Wednesday.

LARGO, Fla – Largo Police responded to an active shooting call at 1801 S Belcher Road on Wednesday.

According to police, they received several calls of an active shooting just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at Stout’s Auto Service located at 1801 S Belcher Road.

When Largo Police Officers arrived on the scene, they located two (2) people with gunshot wounds. Both individuals were taken to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries is not being released at this time.

It is believed that one of the people with gunshot wounds is the shooter.

“This seems to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the general public,” said LPD.

No officers discharged their weapons, investigators say.

Belcher Elementary School was placed on “closed campus” status; however, officials determined the shooting scene was a distance away enough from the school and posed no threat.
