MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two teenage boys, a 15-year-old from Key West and a 16-year-old from Lehigh Acres, were arrested Monday in Monroe County for allegedly stealing two high-value rod and reel sets from a boat docked at a local marina. The stolen equipment is estimated to be worth approximately $2,000.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vessel burglary at the Stock Island Yacht Club at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday.

Following an investigation that included the collection of evidence and review of video surveillance footage, detectives were able to identify the two suspects.
Authorities confirmed that the two stolen rod and reel sets were successfully recovered and have since been returned to their rightful owner. The two juveniles were taken into custody.
