BROOKSVILLE, FL. – On Monday, at approximately 11 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a parcel of land in northern Brooksville regarding a “Suspicious Incident.”
The caller reported seeing a possible “body” on the parcel of land. When deputies arrived, they located a deceased male.
The deceased, an adult male, is not being named due to Marsy’s Law.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of death. Detectives are currently conducting interviews and processing search warrants to collect physical evidence.
Preliminary investigation reveals, circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious. Detectives are working closely with officials from the Medical Examiner’s Office to obtain the cause and manner of death.
