WINTER HAVEN, FL. – A traffic crash involving a Winter Haven Police Officer and a pedestrian has shut down eastbound Cypress Gardens Blvd. near the Legoland entrance.
The crash, which happened around 6:16 a.m. Tuesday, involved an adult male who was taken to Lakeland Regional Health as a trauma alert.
The officer, who was uninjured, immediately rendered aid to the victim until EMS personnel arrived.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the investigation and we will update this story when more details are released.
