Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) is threatening to defund Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office in the wake of Donald Trump’s second indictment.
“This morning, I’m writing an appropriations rider to DEFUND Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office and entire investigation,” Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted on Monday, just days after the unsealing of the indictment against Trump. “I will not vote for ANY appropriations bill to fund the weaponization of government. I hope every one of my Republican colleagues will join me.”
“We have to use the power of appropriations to stop the weaponization of government. I’m introducing an appropriations rider to DEFUND Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office and entire investigation. Where are the investigations into true criminals like Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton?” tweeted Greene.

Rep. Matt Gaetz tweeted in approval, “This is an Article I flex! I’m so here for it.”
Rep. Matt Gaetz denounced the indictment of former President Donald Trump over the “boxes hoax” involving mishandling classified information, saying it is intended to draw public attention away from the “Biden Crime Family.”
“The phony Boxes Hoax indictment is an attempt to distract the American public from the millions of dollars in bribes that the Biden Crime Family received from foreign nationals,” Gaetz tweeted lastThursday night.
“This scheme won’t succeed. President Donald Trump will be back in the White House and Joe Biden will be Hunter’s cellmate,” said Gaetz.
