APOLLO BEACH, Fla. – Beginning Saturday, October 7, a new entrance ramp will open to traffic from westbound Big Bend Road to northbound I-75, weather permitting.

Once open, westbound motorists will have to enter the interstate from the right side of the road.

During this phase of construction, eastbound Big Bend Road motorists will continue accessing the interstate from the existing northbound I-75 entrance ramp.

Motorists should use extra caution while traveling through the work zone as drivers get accustomed to the new traffic pattern approaching this interchange.

The $81.7 million project is reconstructing the I-75 interchange at Big Bend Road (CR 672), widening Big Bend Road between Covington Garden Drive and Simmons Loop, and rebuilding the bridges over Old Big Bend Road and Big Bend Road.

This project is expected to finish in the summer of 2025.
