  1. $10.00 parking fee is disgusting because many families have a hard time paying $5.00 for parking. I thought county parks were created for families to enjoy nature with families and friends. Jenkins Creek is presently charging $5.00, but the charge is unclear. Today an officer was about to give a lady a ticket and Sheba’s not aware there was a fee. Where a notice is located one would not even know it unless they drove down by the boat dock which they would not know if the were going to park at the fishing dock.

  2. In this difficult time there is very little for people to do and to still stay safe. Money is tight for everyone and this is a very poor move by the county to raise fees for parking at our parks. If anything I would think that fees would be waved rather than increased. After all, do we rule by what is good for the people or by what is good to try and balance the budget? We need to get our priorities straightened out.

  3. Seniors who have lived here for the past 30++ yrs or more, should NOT be expected to pay such high parking fees to go enjoy a late afternoon evening in the park to watch a sunset. Fees should apply to the younger groups/parents using the parks for Birthday parties, and other large parties for the schools and organizations. When there are large group activities going on, they draw in the large crowds so the parking fees would be needed to keep the groups down to a minimal especially during this Covid period. But for individuals/couples to go in alone, just to relax and watch a sunset, they should NOT be charged…this is way too high of a fee.

  4. I agree with everyone-$10 is a hefty fee for most people. I will not be able to visit any of the parks, anymore unless I can split the cost with others. Even the $50 annual fee is a bit high. Some parks charge $35 for annual pass, which would be reasonable for today’s hurting economy.
