POLK, NE — Polk County authorities are searching for a man caught on camera wearing peculiar clothes and trespassing, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The images were captured Saturday by Chad Hoffman’s trail cam on land he rents near Polk, which is about 20 miles northwest of York. The photos show a man wearing a utility belt, a bra, and not much else. A long knife appears to be hanging from the belt.
Now…..If this was Florida’s Polk County, Sheriff Grady Judd would have a field day and quite the press conference.
“I did a double-take and didn’t quite believe what I saw in that picture,” Hoffman said. “Something out of the ordinary, obviously.”
“Everybody is kind of on edge around here,” Hoffman said. “Especially going down there we have crops to take care of and there’s some cattle down there so we have to keep our heads on a swivel.”
Hoffman sent the photos to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Dwaine Ladwig says he considers the mystery man a possible threat and that the situation is “very concerning.” He says deputies checked an abandoned house in the area on Tuesday but didn’t find any sign of the man.
