Ocala Bicyclist Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Davenport, Florida Troopers Seeking Tips

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old Ocala man was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened at 11:30 pm on Tuesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a black Dodge Challenger was traveling eastbound in the 2100 block of Davenport Boulevard, east of US-27.

Troopers say the vehicle overtook and collided with a bicyclist, then fled the scene.

The bicyclist, a 27-year-old Ocala man, was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
