A 51-year-old woman has died after being stabbed on Monday in St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 51-year-old woman has died after being stabbed on Monday in St. Petersburg.

At 6:40 p.m., Monday, February 20th, officers responded to 860 9th Avenue South for a woman who had been stabbed.

51-year-old Mary Colon-Wright died of her injuries, according to police.

A suspect, Jasmine Sephus, 32, was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

“The two women were known to each other. They became involved in a verbal dispute, and Sephus fatally stabbed Colon-Wright,” said SPPD.
