HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred earlier this evening following a holiday gathering at ASI Landscape Management located in Thonotosassa.
At approximately 4:04 p.m. on December 18, 2020, the HCSO Communications Bureau received a 911 call in reference to shots fired in the parking lot of the business. Upon arrival, deputies discovered one victim, a man, who was deceased. Witnesses at the scene who spoke with detectives say there was a verbal altercation that took place before the shooting occurred in the parking lot.
“A holiday celebration should never end like it did tonight in Thonotosassa,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The shooter is cooperating with detectives as they investigate exactly what led up to this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call us at (813) 247-8200.”
