RIVERVIEW, Fla.- The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances that left one person dead following a shooting in a Riverview.
On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Wawa at the corner of US Hwy 301 and Gibsonton Drive after a report of shots fired.
Once on scene, HCSO deputies and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

“I am upset with the lack of regard shown for human life in this case,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are committed to bringing this suspect to justice.”
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
