‘One More Win’ Tampa Bay Lightning Look To Repeat Cup Championship

TAMPA, FL. – The Tampa Bay Lightning have pushed the Montreal Canadiens to the edge and need just one more win to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.

The Lightning took a 3-0 lead in the series Friday night with a 6-3 win in Game 3.

Tampa took an early lead with two goals in just over the first 3 minutes of the first period and repeated that in the second period, for a 4-1 lead going into the third.

“We’re not there yet,” Victor Hedman said. . We’re going to do whatever it takes to win the next game. We’ve got more work to do, and we’re not satisfied until we’re done.”

“We put ourselves in a good position obviously, but the fourth one is the hardest one to get … But at the end of the day, we’re not there yet. We need to win one more game. … And we’re not satisfied until that’s done,” Victor Hedman said

According to ESPN, In NHL playoff history, only four teams have rallied to win a series after losing the first three games, with Toronto the only one to do so in the final in beating Detroit to win the Cup in 1942.

The Bolts will take on the Canadiens in Game 4 on Monday July 5 at 8 Pm in Montreal.
