Pasco Businesses: Free GBAC STAR Accreditation Workshop

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – Time is running out to show your customers you mean business when it comes to infectious disease prevention.  Pasco County’s Office of Economic Growth invites local businesses to take part in a FREE, in-person workshop Tuesday, October 6 or Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at Advent Health Center Ice to earn an expedited Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR Accreditation for infectious disease outbreak prevention, response, and recovery.  Bring your laptop and be ready to work during this hands-on opportunity to complete ALL accreditation steps in a single day.

Pasco County will reimburse your business for all costs associated with earning this internationally recognized accreditation that inspires consumer confidence and encourages wellness in our communities.  The opportunity is funded by a $2 million Pasco CARES appropriation by the Pasco Board of County Commissioners.

GBAC Director Dr. Gavin Macgregor-Skinner and his staff will be on site for personalized assistance with the application process and Pasco County team members will be available to answer questions about the GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation Reimbursement Grant.
