PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County Fire Rescue has received a donation to help save pets that are involved in a structure fire or vehicle crash.

“Pasco County Fire Rescue would like to thank our partners at Central Pasco Veterinary Care for their generosity and support this holiday season,” said PCFR.

Under the leadership of Dr. JoAnn Daniels, the practice holds a fundraiser each December to raise funds to purchase pet oxygen masks that are then donated to the fire department.

With this partnership, “the department has been able to outfit all of its front-line emergency vehicles with this equipment at no cost to the taxpayers,” according to Fire Chief Scott Cassin.

Five additional sets of masks were donated to the department at the practice’s annual holiday banquet in Land O’ Lakes on Wednesday evening.

“We are extremely thankful to have such great partners in the community, and having this equipment is essential in our efforts to save the lives of pets injured in a fire or vehicle accident,” Cassin added.
