CLEARWATER, Fla – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews responded to a call for a man who had fallen off of a roof on Friday on Island Estates.
The call came in just before noon at 60 Midway Island, according to police.
Investigators say that a man who had been doing roof work there fell from the roof onto the pool deck while checking on the project.

The man was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he died from injuries suffered in the fall.
He has been identified as Richard Wells, 61, Holiday.
