The National Hurricane Center said Friday afternoon that a storm heading toward the Gulf of Mexico was “gradually becoming better organized” and that “conditions appear conducive for further development during the next several days.”

Pasco County Sandbag Stations Available – Dade City Location Added

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - In anticipation of heavy rain next week, Pasco County Government is sharing an additional sandbag location on behalf of Dade City.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – In anticipation of heavy rain next week, Pasco County Government is sharing an additional sandbag location on behalf of Dade City.

The location is the former Dade City Police Department building located at 38042 Pasco Avenue, Dade City.

Pasco County has two sandbag stations available to help protect property in low-lying areas from potential flooding.

Sand and sandbags are available, and will be restocked between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the following locations:

* Pasco County Public Works (C-Barn), 30908 Warder Road, San Antonio

* Magnolia Valley Golf Course, 7223 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey

All sandbag locations are self-serve and are open 24 hours to Pasco County residents. Please bring a shovel and be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
