Pasco County Shuts Down Well Water Source In Jasmine Lakes

PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Pasco County Utilities has shut down a well in the Jasmine Lakes Community of New Port Richey after analytical results showed a presence of E. Coli on November 18.

The well was immediately shut down, and water to the community of approximately 1,500 customers is being supplied from three other wells that tested negative for the bacteria.

The water is safe to drink, and there is NO NEED for customers in this area to boil their water.

Pasco County Utilities anticipates having a resolution within 24 hours, and customers will not see an interruption in water service. Updates on this issue and associated sample results will be posted online at: bit.ly/PCUServiceUpdates
