Pack and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated before, during, and after any water activities. Remember, boating while intoxicated is illegal, so be sure to have a designated driver.

Always file a float plan with a trusted friend or family member.

While on the water during scallop season, be extra cautious and reduce speeds near diving flags, and while in idle speed, no wake zones.

Allow for extra time at the boat ramps and launch sites, as they are expected to be busy.
