TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 3 loss to the Eagles was disappointing for Bucs fans, and the team coming off a 2-0 start and facing the defending NFC champions.

The Eagles beat the Bucs 25-11 in the first game of Week 3’s Monday Night Football doubleheader.

Bucs’ defense had a particularly rough night, allowing 472 total yards, including 201 rushing yards. This was the most rushing yards allowed by the Bucs defense since Week 12 in 2020 against the Chiefs.

The Bucs also had some miscues on defense, including a missed tackle that led to a long Eagles touchdown run.

The Eagles move to 3-0 for the second consecutive season, the first time the franchise has accomplished that since 1992-1993.

The Buccaneers will need to bounce back quickly in Week 4 when they face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
