Pilot Airlifted To Hospital After Crashing Plane On Florida Golf Course

A small airplane crashed onto a golf course Friday in Florida, destroying the plane. The pilot was airlifted to a local hospital.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, at 12:43 p.m. Friday, the Sheriff’s communications officers received a call reporting a small plane had crashed on the golf course at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.

Deputies say, onne person, believed to be the pilot, was reported to be injured in the crash.

The man was airlifted to Jackson South Hospital by a Miami-Dade County rescue helicopter.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene, and the NTSB will be the investigating agency.
