PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) have arrested a Tarpon Springs man for possession of child pornography.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 25-year-old Xavier Alers. According to detectives, the images and videos were of children between the ages of four and twelve years old.

On May 23, 2024, detectives arrested Alers and charged him with twenty counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Alers was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
