‘Pissed’ Olympian Won’t Have To Worry About Hearing Anthem, Or Make Anti-America Gesture

The sullen, “pissed” U.S. Olympian who pouted recently over having to endure the Star-Spangled Banner at a tryout for the Games won’t have to worry about Francis Scott Key ringing in her ears.

Gwen Berry, whose event is the hammer toss, failed to make the cut for a medal.

In fact, she did far worse than the woke sisterhood pretending to be America’s women’s soccer team. After repeated drubbings by once inferior opponents, the soccer team still has a chance at a third-place bronze.

Berry, not so much.

As The Associated Press reported on Tuesday, “The stage was all hers, so Gwen Berry pounded on her chest and extended her right fist after she was introduced for the hammer throw final at the Olympics.”

“The meaning behind the gesture remained the same,” the AP said, “to highlight social and racial inequities.”

As it turned out, Berry wasn’t equal to the task at hand.

She finished in 11th place, one spot ahead of dead last.

After the event, Berry said she would move on to becoming a professional agitator.

The AP reported she was bound for Tennessee State University, where she plans to obtain a master’s degree in philanthropy or economics.

“I want to make sure these companies and these corporations respect their Black co-workers,” she told the AP.

Berry, of course, became the most famous name in her event last month at the U.S Olympic trials.

She finished third there, and when the medals were presented, she turned her back to the flag and pouted, with hands on hips. She claimed she was “pissed” about the National Anthem playing, saying she was sandbagged because she had been promised that it would not be played.

Berry’s immature gesture also took the attention away from the athletes who bested her in that competition, DeAnna Price and Brooke Andersen, who at the event stood facing the flag, hands over their hearts and seeming to sing the anthem.

Unfortunately, they did not fare much better than Berry on Tuesday. Price finished eighth and Andersen 10th.
